METALS
WE BUY
BELOW ARE SOME OF THE COMMON SCRAP METALS WE BUY

Aluminium is the most widely used non-ferrous metal. It is a silvery white, soft, ductile metal. It is the most abundant metal in the Earth’s crust. Aluminium is theoretically 100% recyclable without any loss of its natural qualities.

Production of lead is increasing worldwide. Total annual production is about 8 million tonnes; about half is produced from recycled scrap. Metallic lead has a bluish-white color after being freshly cut, but it soon tarnishes to a dull grey when exposed to air.

Brass is an alloy made of copper and zinc. It is used for decoration for its bright gold-like appearance. Used widely in locks, gears, doorknobs; for plumbing and electrics and in brass musical instruments. Today almost 90% of all brass alloys are recycled.

Copper is soft and malleable with has a reddish-orange color. It is used as a conductor of heat and electricity, a building material, and a constituent of various metal alloys. Like aluminium, copper is 100% recyclable without any loss of quality.

Iron is the most widely used of all the metals, accounting for 95% of worldwide metal production. It is also the most common element on Earth. Its low cost and high strength make it indispensable in the engineering and construction industry.

Stainless steel’s resistance to corrosion and staining, low maintenance and familiar luster make it an ideal material for many applications. It is 100% recyclable. It is widely used in cutlery and surgical instruments, major appliances and industrial equipment.
